Rizzo has arisen from the Chicago/LA music scenes as a striking and dynamic figure and a force destined for greatness. His previous work has graced the best stages across the Mid-West and now he is setting his sights on delivering that final punch with his debut record. Few can muster the swath of skills that this man has at his disposal. Whether it’s in the studio writing and producing music, shooting and directing music videos, composing and designing music for film and TV, or performing on the stage, his talent shows through his work.
With a sound that pushes the envelope of R&B/Soul music, he pulls from the traditional soul element and blends a gothic and mysterious atmosphere to give the listener a cinematic experience. With imagery driven lyrics and spellbindingly sexy, groovalicious melodies, he can swoon the ladies and drive you crazy.
His debut EP is available now on iTunes. The intro “Dimension” kicks off the EP with a gentle pulsing piano that builds into an almost genre twisting climax letting you off right at its peak and leaving you gasping for more. The first single “Red Wine, Skinny Jeans” was produced at The Sound Cake with Chicago Producer Brando Triantoufilla. The song is the telling of two lovers finding their way through the struggles of the world to be together, making sure that no matter what, they will do what it takes to satisfy one another. The song has that classic soul flavor infused with a modern R&B sound, bringing all the elements together in a tasteful and direct dialogue. The EP continues on with an exciting feature from up and coming Chicago R&B singer Justin Ruff, on the track “Movin’ On”. The second collaboration features rising Hip-Hop emcee, Milli, on the distinctive and alternative track “Can I?”. Taking center stage is the single “Flush”, which has already garnered much praise, most notably from THISISRNB.com. Rizzo makes certain to show his brilliance by self- producing the EP and playing almost all of the instruments on the record.
From the studio, to the live stage, Rizzo is the artist that can appeal to many people without losing the focus and energy needed to capture a single objective. This is his moment and his dimension, if you choose to…then enter it.
